ID3 Reporting V4.0: AI-Driven Automation and a Redesigned Interface
ID3 Reporting V4.0 introduces AI-assisted and automated compilation across the entire daily drilling report, combined with a completely redesigned interface. The release reduces manual input, minimizes errors and helps operators and drilling contractors move from rig data to an approved DDR in a fraction of the time.
AI-Assisted Compilation, from Rig Data to Approved Report
The timelog can now be generated directly from rig sensor data, and the system produces the intervals, depths and IADC codes. During flat times, when no sensor data is available, IADC codes are suggested from the driller’s comments. Timelogs produced with third-party tools can be uploaded and converted into timelog rows, and executive summaries are written in one click from the timelog.
BHA and casing reports are read automatically to fill the BHA, bit, BHA element and casing tables. Missing or invalid values are highlighted for quick review. More automatic calculations and inherited data, from durations, cumulatives, TVD and dogleg to rig specifications, now flow directly into the daily report. Timelog descriptions can be filled from the standard template of the selected Level 3 IADC code, and this is configurable per customer. Data that changes little from day to day, such as marine data, DDR approvers and crew rosters, can be copied from the previous report.
A Redesigned Reporting Experience
The interface has been rebuilt from the ground up, with a consistent layout across all pages, guided tables, and light and dark themes. The Daily Drilling Report is reorganized into 12 discipline tabs with collapsible sections and smart tables. Each table includes field descriptions, and required fields are highlighted before saving.
A new interactive DDR Calendar is the entry point for each rig. It is color-coded by job and well and shows the timelog status of every DDR at a glance. It also gives one-click access to the daily report, the asset data, and Excel or PDF report downloads. The reorganized Configuration Hub brings the management pages for rigs, wells, boreholes, contracts, jobs and libraries together in a single, clearer setup area.
Faster Reporting, More Reliable Data
With automated and AI-assisted data compilation, ID3 Reporting V4.0 reduces DDR preparation time by up to 50%. Greater data granularity, more accurate coding and more relevant operational comments improve reporting quality and consistency. This supports performance benchmarking, flat-time analysis and end-of-well evaluations across the drilling fleet. ID3 Reporting supports operators and drilling contractors in onshore and offshore operations across oil and gas, geothermal, CCUS and other drilling applications.
Join the ID3 Reporting V4.0 Webinars
To present the new release, ID3 is hosting two live webinars. Each session gives a guided walkthrough of the redesigned Daily Drilling Report, the new DDR Calendar and the AI-assisted compilation features, followed by a Q&A with the product team.
Both sessions cover the same content. Choose the date that best suits your schedule and register here:
Session 1: Wed 11 Nov, 12:00 PM GST / 4:00 PM MYT (Middle East & Asia)
Session 2: Wed 18 Nov, 10:00 AM ET / 4:00 PM CET (Americas & Europe)
